Updates
First, sorry about the banner image. I know it sucks, but I am not an illustrator 🙂
I just wanted to take a moment to post an update since I haven’t posted in a while.
Over the past few months, a friend of mine and I have been streaming on Twitch every Monday evening at 7pm central time. We’re currently building a calendar web app from scratch. Check it out if you’re interested in watching.
A few weeks ago I also started uploading a new video series to YouTube. The series is enhancing the Start Page project to have a database backend. Instead of rehearsing and editing the content, it’s very raw. The videos run about 30 minutes each. I know I’m not the most interesting person to listen to, but this is a way for me to try to improve and teach others at the same time. If you hate the videos and feel the need to comment, please keep it respectful and constructive. Otherwise, I will remove it.
As far as this blog goes, I do have ideas on new articles that I’d like to get to. At this point, it’s really just a matter of taking the time to do it. If there is one thing I’ve learned about myself it’s that it is very difficult to get started. But as soon as I start typing, the motivation and momentum just build from there.
I have also been experimenting with a new blogging platform on my personal site, https://danwatling.com. Every Friday I post a “devlog” which summarizes my developer “life” for the past week.
Anyway, those are all of the updates I have for now.
